This could be like the 2003 draft and Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. While I don't think either Favors or Turner are quite as good as those guys were, the similarities are there. Bosh entered the draft after only 1 year in college as an athletic four, while Wade was a little more well-rounded and seasoned, coming out after two years at Marquette. Toronto and Miami really couldn't lose either way. Wade had the ball in his hands immediately in Miami and blossomed in his second season. Bosh, like Favors, was a raw skinny post player who took three season to really reach his stride. Either way, both are stars. But my feeling is it's harder to find a scorer like Wade than it is to find a PF like Bosh. A guy who can take a game over with the ball in his hand. I know Iggy has that role now, but I'm confident Collins will get Turner the ball when he's ready, and let him keep it. It should make for interesting drama come June 24.

They take Favors and begin to build for the future with parts that will fit into our system. We don't want another season of us making the playoffs as an 8-seed and getting eliminated in the first round again. I'd rather get Favors, see him improve throughout the year, and see the sixers have another terrible season and get another top-5 pick.
Also, Collins should try to take the ball out of Iguodala's hands and Williams' hands and put the ball in Holiday's hands and Favors' hands.

Awesome report. Keep them coming. I've only been a casual Flyers fan for years now, but this years' team has rekindled my intensity.

Being signed by the Eagles as an RB has to be such a bittersweet feeling. Let's see what he can do....blocking would be nice.

Not crazy about this move to be honest. I think the Cole Hamels of 2010 will be much more like the Cole Hamels of 2008, not 2009. If that is the case, you have two serious aces along with the monster offense. For me, that is good enough, no need to mortgage the future.
